THANK YOU.My state of mind after reading Blue Dreams.I couldn t agree .Drama Sob fest Drama Sob fest Drama Sob fest Drama blah blah blah.Hi Derek angel,Look at this gif Look closely Grow A Pair And Most Of All Grow Up You Whiny Jerk.I m going to dedicate this gif to view spoiler Ethan and Nick hide spoiler gags vomits I had to deal with four pathetic idiots. They f cked everything up.All four MCs hurt each other.I don t know if I can or even want to control my emotions Blue Dreams didn t favor my health because my BP went through the roof. The sex was totally boring and awkward and seriously lacked some spice.I couldn t care less Game over guys My first thoughts after finishing the novella I have absolutely nothing and I mean NOTHING positive to say about Blue Dreams Honestly, this was an awful nightmare and I want to remove every letter of this pathetic novella from my brain I think I need to bleach it I f cking hate everything about it Neither the despicable characters nor the storyline and definitely not the poor writing didn t do it for me I am so f cking mad at the moment that I can t even form a coherent thought, let alone a normal sentence I try to make this short Let s get started.I absolutely HATE drama, drama, drama, drama, drama, drama, drama Sob fest, sob fest, sob fest, sob fest, sob fest It s safe to say that Blue Dreams provided exactly that in abundance Besides, I can t approve of their childish and embarrassing behavior WHINY characters are NEVER appealing If anything, they re a HUGE turn off.So called heroes who are running away on a regular basis are going to get on my verrrrrrrry last nerve, and shouting matches that lead to nothing at all are a big no go too Besides, panicked grown men who cackle around like scared chicks are not relatable either In fact, it s f cking pathetic I was never for the life of me able to bond with the four MCs TheI read theshocked I got, considering that I really loved Nick and Derek in the prequel Split What the hell happened I had a hard time to wrap my mind around the fact that Split and Blue Dreams have been written by the same author Neither the characters nor the writing did remind me of Split While Split is such a wittingly penned novel, the sequel Blue Dreams missed the mark completely Blue Dreams is shockingly bad and the writing overly cheesy Welcome to Sapsville Let s talk about the m nage Come to think of it, that s actually not possible because it happened OFF PAGE There was a bland sex scene between view spoiler Ethan and Nick and then suddenly Myles stood in the room, vanished again to fetch poor Derek angel who had to stand at the sidelines to watch the m nage between Ethan, Myles and Nick hide spoiler The only thing that I can approve of is the fact that view spoiler Derek hide spoiler wasn t allowed to play along because he s view spoiler Myles cousin hide spoiler Thanks for small favors On the other hand, it shows how jealous and possessive view spoiler Nick hide spoiler is And I sure as hell didn t like how view spoiler Ethan was flirting with Nick He kinda tried to seduce Nick hide spoiler Don t get me wrong I have no problem whatsoever with a threesome or a foursome when everybody involved is on the same page and it s only sex However, what led to the m nage was simply deplorable and absurd As I saw it, view spoiler Ethan cheated on Myles and Nick cheated on Derek hide spoiler That s so not cool The nickname baby boy gives me the creeps and a giggling man is a HUGE NO GO Plus, the term LOVELY can only end in a disaster when it s related to male characters And after mentioning to the nth degree how freaking beautiful Nick is, I really got that too You know I m not stupid The day I don t have to see Ethan and Myles any cannot come soon enough Also, right now I m in such a bad place that I don t want to see Nick and Derek any either I m going to buy you all a one way ticket to Mars And we all know that means a mission without return because once you re there you won t be able to fly back to Mother Earth Have a safe trip The ending of Split was fine by me Some will look at it as a HFN and others will take it as a HEA I know it s a daily challenge to keep a relationship healthy, strong and interesting Nothing is ever perfect after all Besides, it s safe to say that romance novels don t always reflect real life because love life isn t only about hearts and flowers and a hot hunk Yet it was totally needless to f ck everything up in Blue Dreams This novella is an overwritten, f cked up drama and massive weep fest par excellence It s simply disgusting What s the purpose of this whole mess Giving view spoiler Derek time to grow up and taking care of his hang ups Giving Nick an occasion to grovel hide spoiler WTF Do I have to assume that without this crappy novella there wouldn t have been a sequel to Nick and Derek s story Did we really need a sequel Questions over questions and I don t care at all if I ll ever get any answers IMO Blue Dreams tainted and stained Split irrevocably and ruined a beautiful book for me As a matter of fact, that s the saddest aspect of this whole mess because I wish I just wish I hadn t read Blue Dreams and I wish I hadn t touched Split either What a freaking disaster I m at a point where I don t even want to read the sequel Red Awakening Yup, I hope that Derek is going to wake up and some jerks need to grovel big time.http baba.booklikes.com

Ok, so why would you write a follow up story to f ck up a HEA ending My guess is that it is because HEAs actually take a lot of work and in life people screw up.This is a nice transitional story that will lead us to the next story Red Awakening Do not read this if you like fairy tale endings and if you like quick gratification But if you enjoy reading about people screwing up then by all means go ahead. In the end this book leaves me withquestions than answers why IS Myles with Ethan I Ok, so why would you write a follow up story to f ck up a HEA ending My guess is that it is because HEAs actually take a lot of work and in life people screw up.This is a nice transitional story that will lead us to the next story Red Awakening Do not read this if you like fairy tale endings and if you like quick gratification But if you enjoy reading about people screwing up then by all means go ahead. In the end this book leaves me withquestions than answers why IS Myles with Ethan I fail to see a redeeming quality in Ethan Will the follow up book redeem both Ethan and Nick or give Myles anoteworthy partner I do not mind reading a story where Derek actually finds himself but I need to see him stand on his own at last I would not Mind him slutting it around a little either I do not want to see him pinning or forgiving Nick too easily I also want to see Nick redeem himself thoroughly and grovel until there s nogroveling left to do in the world I am tired of him having it so easily I also wouldn t mind seeing his POV for a change. So yeah, when is the next book out

I appreciate that this was the author s gift to her readers, although having read it I now wish I had not done so because it was definitely not my cup of tea Aimee has already written a long and very thoughtful review, hence I will only mention a few key points.I believe Blue Dreams was supposed to convey, at least in part, some sort of message about happiness being difficult to maintain and that it should not be taken for granted I refuse to think everything was thrown inside the story simp I appreciate that this was the author s gift to her readers, although having read it I now wish I had not done so because it was definitely not my cup of tea Aimee has already written a long and very thoughtful review, hence I will only mention a few key points.I believe Blue Dreams was supposed to convey, at least in part, some sort of message about happiness being difficult to maintain and that it should not be taken for granted I refuse to think everything was thrown inside the story simply to create the maximum degree of unpleasant drama at least I hope not Derek has always needed to find his path outside of Nick s dominating presence, but things could have been handled in a less rushed, over the top andcoherent manner view spoiler Ethan was indeed a very unpleasant and impossible to grasp character He seemed central to the plot because he managed to either be inconsistent or ruin just about everything the hot cold attitude and moderate physical attraction towards Myles, which was very quickly replaced by his raging lust and undying devotion towards Nick There was not one instance where I thought Ethan felt something towards Myles beyond convenience Had Nick given him a tiny bit of encouragement after the threesome it was clearly no foursome with Derek being excluded , Myles would have long been left in the dust For me, probably the saddest moment was when Myles confessed that he only participated in the threesome so as not to lose Ethan completely Nick and Ethan werethan ready and willing to have sex exclusively with each other, regardless of how it might hurt the people they supposedly cared about And one would expect Ethan to be at leastreserved considering he helped to destroy another couple s marriage showing hardly any shame or remorse, he verbally attacked Derek to allegedly convince him to return to Nick Somehow, it felt as if he was checking if the coast was clear, so he could insinuate himselffully in Nick s life first, as a business partner and in time as much .Nick came across as incredibly selfish, controlling and hypocritical Everything had to be done his way and he simply expected Derek to follow accept like a an obedient puppy I felt uncomfortable with how Nick treated Derek like an object, a valuable possession only to be seen and used by him None of the beauty from Split was left in their relationship Since Nick uncontrollably wanted Ethan, Derek was supposed to watch as his husband had sex with another man even if it hurt Derek deeply The foursome could have worked as a sexual fantasy if everyone had talked and agreed on the terms Instead, it looked as if Nick and Ethan merely tried to unsuccessfully cover their tryst but were not that bothered about the consequences And something from the preview chapter suggested that the two continued to sleep together after Derek left If that is true, Nick may have simply wished to push Derek away for good and it casts evendoubt about whether Nick actually ever loved him Now, unfortunately, I won t remember Split in the same beautifully emotional manner hide spoiler Either way, the things that happened were grossly unfair towards Myles and Derek It will be extremely difficult for the author to believably redeem either Nick or Ethan And, to be honest, after the rather disappointing experience of Blue Dreams , I am not sure if reading the next instalment is a good option for me

I LOVED this book I am apparently in the minority, but I love it when a cheating partner causes such pain and grief The connection between Derek and Nick is intense, but they both have some major issues and if the sex on the side didn t cause a split between them, than something else would have Regardless of the reason, they both needed space to reflect and make changes or their relationship was doomed.I also believe that Derek is partly to blame, as well He was not an innocent bystanderb I LOVED this book I am apparently in the minority, but I love it when a cheating partner causes such pain and grief The connection between Derek and Nick is intense, but they both have some major issues and if the sex on the side didn t cause a split between them, than something else would have Regardless of the reason, they both needed space to reflect and make changes or their relationship was doomed.I also believe that Derek is partly to blame, as well He was not an innocent bystanderbut he backed off, whereas Nick didn t It was painful to witness, but it was bound to happen Myles and Ethan were both threats that pushed their agenda on Nick and Derek even though Nick told them it couldn t happen Of course, Nick allowed himself to be led by his insecurity and his little head, but he really needed help.I am bummed that book three, Red Awakening, has been removed, as I really need to see these guys reunited and see how they overcome Maybe I can convince the author to make an exception EDIT The author came to my rescue and supplied me with a copy, yay

The good The writing was good, the story flowed well, and the characters drew me in.The not so good The plot, basically Not only did I not like Blue Dreams, reading it ruined Split for me, so if you like Split I would highly recommend you just pretend the story ended there and don t read Blue Dreams. The rest is full of spoilers, so view spoiler Mel Bossa said this in a blog post about this book, My two favorite characters are Nick and Derek from Split, and now, I ve got twoEthan F The good The writing was good, the story flowed well, and the characters drew me in.The not so good The plot, basically Not only did I not like Blue Dreams, reading it ruined Split for me, so if you like Split I would highly recommend you just pretend the story ended there and don t read Blue Dreams. The rest is full of spoilers, so view spoiler Mel Bossa said this in a blog post about this book, My two favorite characters are Nick and Derek from Split, and now, I ve got twoEthan Fiennes and Myles O Reilly.Blue Dreams is their love story It really, really doesn t seem like their love story it doesn t read like a love story at all. When you finish a book not wanting either main couple to be together it isn t a good thing, imo, and doesn t bode well for their futures Nick went from hero in Split to total fucking douchebag in this book Like really I hate him and don t think he deserves to even lick Derek s boots ever again That wasn t an orgy or a foursome it was Nick cheating with two other men while making Derek watch Nick needs to suffer a LOT to be worthy of forgiveness, imo see ETA Not trying to be demanding or anything, but I d really like a few certain things to happen in the next one to get the bad taste of this one out of my brain Derek needs to fully move on and that includes taking other lovers If he stays all piney and chaste Imma be pissed Nick, if he REALLY plans to try to win Derek back DOES need to be piney and chaste He really needs to prove that he fucking gets what he did that caused Derek to leave him and STOP DOING IT Nick and Ethan Their friendship needs to pretty much end before I ll believe Nick loves Derek enough and Ethan loves Myles enough to deserve having them Making Derek put up with Ethan remaining a presence in their lives would be rubbing salt in a wound over and over forever If they re going to be together then I want both of them to have an equal HEA, and I don t think Derek can ever have that with Ethan in the picture Myles needs a backbone That whole thing where he told Ethan the reason Derek can stand Myles but not Ethan is because Derek understands WHY Myles went along and joined in Yeah Ethan needs to understand that, too, and Myles needs to walk away until he does hide spoiler ETA TheI ponder this theI hate Nick and Ethan They may be redeemable as characters, but their respective pairings are beyond redemption for me I think I still want them to suffer, but now I want them to suffer forever knowing what they had could have had but threw away, and I want to see Derek and Myles move forward with new people who won t treat them like a possession Nick Derek or like a you ll do since I can t have who I really want consolation prize Ethan Myles I know I m not in charge it s Mel Bossa s story to tell and I m just along for the ride, but those are my thoughts on it I ll read the next book because I want to know what happens if she can pull off a believable HEA after all this then the series will go on my all time favorites list, but going into it wanting two of the MCs left shattered, abandoned and alone means that is an uphill battle
