This is a very awesome book Its about a boy wants a dogHis name is Rufus But his dad has a strict rule no dogs in their house or even outside their yard So instead his mom bought Rufus a guinea pig that acts like a dog It even plays fetch bites barks and almost all the stuff a dog can do Rufus hates getting attention from people especially from students When the students found out that Rufus has a guinea pig that acts like a dog they all wanted to get the same cool guinea pig but they couldn't You can read the book and find out the rest of the cool moments in the book Also I recommend this book for everyone to read

  2. Donna Donna says:

Rufus is worried when he can't find his guinea pig that acts like a dog and believes she's run awayThis is a sweet series that still manages to deal with some important things Rufus is made very uncomfortable by his new fame and is desperately unhappy Gradually with some help from his friends and parents he starts sticking up for himself and saying 'no' There's a happy ending Fido the guinea dog is found and brings a little surprise with her on her return I don't plan to read the third book in the series but would if it dropped in my lap

  3. Randy Tramp Randy Tramp says:

When his classmates learn about Fido the guinea pig that acts like a dog they all want a piece of Rufus her owner But Rufus hates the attention the demands the celebrity So he decides to make Fido learn how to be an actual guinea pig But when she goes missing he feels terrible Was she lost dognapped or did she run away because he no longer liked her just the way she was? What a fun read with a lesson Kids of all ages will love this book On to the next book in this series

  4. The Brothers The Brothers says:

Not one of my favorites but for elementary age kiddos it is a pretty cute story Think along the lines of lower elementary chapter book with very easy subject matter If my kids reviewed it they would have given 5 stars

I think this book is a little too much ridiculosity which is actually a word for me I’m sure it’s very entertaining to fifth graders but not me I liked Rufus’ best friend; he’s funny
