I have loved this series of fairy tales for young children for staying very close to the traditional oral retellings of the stories Because of that, I was surprised to see that the porridge in this book was too lumpy and too sweet instead of being too hot and too cold I suppose it makessense with the physics of heat transfer, but I still changed the words while reading it aloud to my storytime. As with the rest of the books in this line, this makes a good storytime book Not too long I have loved this series of fairy tales for young children for staying very close to the traditional oral retellings of the stories Because of that, I was surprised to see that the porridge in this book was too lumpy and too sweet instead of being too hot and too cold I suppose it makessense with the physics of heat transfer, but I still changed the words while reading it aloud to my storytime. As with the rest of the books in this line, this makes a good storytime book Not too long and not too short, fun phrases to read aloud, and large, clear artwork

I feel like once you ve read one Goldilocks and the Three Bears you have read them all I honestly believe, when it comes to traditional stories, that it is a double edged sword with the multiple copies being produced If someone was to change the story line, people get mad and yet if someone keeps it the same, people get mad for lack of individuality It s if you do it s bad and if you don t it s bad Overall, I will always recommend the older stories, they are so much better than the newer I feel like once you ve read one Goldilocks and the Three Bears you have read them all I honestly believe, when it comes to traditional stories, that it is a double edged sword with the multiple copies being produced If someone was to change the story line, people get mad and yet if someone keeps it the same, people get mad for lack of individuality It s if you do it s bad and if you don t it s bad Overall, I will always recommend the older stories, they are so much better than the newer ones coming out
