GREAT BOOK Do not let previous reviews disuade you The cover is deceivingly cheesy romance like BUT it was not I thought it was going to be one even while reading the first chapters but I laughed at the mess this girl got herself into There is a build upMatalia is part Druid which is a sorcerer She sings to calm animals etc Once you catch that it makes sense If you like the descriptive romance with tons of story like Kinley MacGregor aka Sherrilyn Kenyon you will like this book The format was strong like a Kinley MacGregor book but the story was original She was the closest I could think of as far as writing style It was fast paced great I put off reading it because of the few reviews and low scores Looking at what they usually read I understand their distaste I put it off due to the reviews I should have read it sooner

I just finished this book and found it to be an amazing romance It had some fictional elements and it also had great historical ties along with a blooming romance between the two well crafted characters Matalia and BroganSasha Lord did a great job building up the romance between these two characters and at the end of the story you almost wish that something like that could happen to you

Definitely a reversal of roles but a great book to bootbrogan and Matilda love story strays out a little crazy but then things move along and really move fast very sexy and loving at the same time A lot of family loyalty

In a Wild Wood was waaayyy better than the previous book Under a Wild Sky my review It's a keeper for meAt first Matalia the heroine seems very immature She is only 16 spoiled and not at all circumspect Her idea? Tying the seasoned warrior she's found hurt in the woods to a bed to experiment on him what happens between a man and a woman when they are married Stupid idea is stupid It is doomed to go wrong And it does Instead of having her wicked way with her victim Brogan he turns the tables They have sex and are discovered Instant marriage is the logical conseuence Brogan the hero isn't so fond of having to marry a wild rebellious girl Matalia's little experiment has ruined the great plan he has been working on resolutely for the last 15 years For Brogan has to compete against his twin brother for his family's heritage In the first part of the book Brogan is too furious too hard and too rough He sometimes reminds me of an angry gorilla pounding on his chest in demonstration of his superior power I was afraid he would be just like Ronin in the first part of this series BUT thankfully beginning with the second part of this book the gorilla transforms into a man with actual manners Brogan becomes a likeable character He openes up talkes about his past wants to get to know his wife better He actually smiles and grins He communicates with Matalia I really really liked him a lotMatalia grows up pretty fast I loved her She is such a darling It was adorable to watch how she tries to support her husband She brings warmth and benevolence to a land and its people that is soreley lacking in such things I loved the whole family conflict and the feud between the twin brothersIn a Wild Wood is an enjoyable entertaining and lovely read with likeable characters and an interesting plot Definitely a book I will want to reread

I began reading this book around December of last year I made it about a third of the way through and gave up on it I spent so much of my time in the first part of the book rolling my eyes that I got tired of reading it I ended up picking up this book and finishing it The middle was not too incredibly horrible There are good points to this story It is just so over the top that it is annoying in parts If you like that kind of thing then this is the book for you If you are a run of the mill romance reader I don't recommend it

  6. Tammy Tammy says:

Second book of the wild series I think I liked it better than the first one Plenty of sensuality and the usual misunderstanding Not as much fairee mental communication between twins Features pet wolves for the animal lover More heart touching for the wounded family I am currently rereading this series for the last time before donating While I still like romances this style isn't what I prefer to read

  7. Brette Brette says:

This was honestly one of my favorite books Lord makes a great story that keeps you guessing up until the very end and she uses her twists and turns to create a spell binding story Her descriptions are absolutely vivid and create a believable world
