A Million Different Ways by P Dangelico is the story of Vera Sava and Sebastian Horn It is also debut author that I am so happy to have read her first bookand cannot wait for the next one There is a cliffhanger that sets the story for the next book about Vera and Sebastian but I enjoyed this book so much I didn't really mind it I wanted the story to keep going on about Vera and Sebastianit was to good to end in one book So don't let that hold you back from reading this great book I have read the previous reviews and thought it might not be true that this author had a debut book that hit a home run so uickly It has happened before for me with other authors but reading the previews it didn't read to me that it would be a 'WOW' book how wrong I was If you like a hurt inside and out alpha male hero with a strong on the runin trouble women with a heart to bigthen this book is for you Vera has been on the run for about six years after her father was in trouble for embezzlement and killed himself Vera was also set up to a part of it by having money transferred into an account with her name on it So she went on the run instead of facing the false charges Her friend Emily who is involved with a Russian Mob has been helping her hide and move around Vera dream is to get into a residency to work as a Family Dr which she is trained in While she wait to find that job she takes different jobs while on the run One leads her to being a housekeeper for Sebastian When Sebastian and her meet she is uickly attracted to him but he has an attitude and is very hateful to her Things don't get any better the next few times they meet Which makes Vera uncomfortable but at the same time she knows any feels she has for him can move forward not just because she is his housekeeper she has made it a habit not to get attached to anyone or make friends But Sebastian has moved past fighting his attraction to Vera Vera tries to continue to fight her attraction to him but he wins her over and they start an affair Vera tries to make it clear that she plans on leaving as soon as she finds a job to start being a Dr at a Family Practice That this is just a temporary relationship Can Vera stick to her plan of leaving when she get her dream job? Will Sebastian find out she is on the run and why? Sebastian has a lot of trust issue and needs to be in control Can Vera deal with this after being on her own for so long and running her own life? Surprisingly the book started very well I was hookedPoor h gets a job as an housekeeper at the H’s manor At first he is rude to her but of course it was because he is smitten by her They are physically attracted to each other There chemistry was HOT I loved that part But also after some point it got repetitive and boringview spoilerAfter they are together the h tells the H to keep there relationship private as she is an immigrant and a runaway which would hamper his reputation But as you all know such things are used against the H and h to reach there HEA Other than the hot chemistry I had so many issues with the book like the h has to see the H fck another woman who is his step sister in law And the H knows that the h is watching So that was so disgusting Of course this is before the H and h are together but still it was badAnd then fell the bomb After the H and h start there secret relationship the H asks the h what she felt when he was fcking the owShe says“I watched you take her overpower her andand I got wet just watching you”😖Then the most stupid thing the H kissing other woman just to make the h jealous That was such an useless move He kissed another woman because the h told the H that she wants there relationship secret and that she is just for sex She says that because she doesn’t expect the rich H to be with a poor girl like her But the H then kissing other woman to make the h feel bad was so not needed And this is the problem with this author She has a habit of doing this Her previous book I read she did the same thing YuckAlso I didn’t like that the H had a lady personal trainer I hate it when guys have lady body trainers Sorry it’s my personal preference hide spoiler

45 starsARC received from the author in exchange of an honest reviewReview posted at Let me start this review by saying this book as some of my favorite things in romance books a hero who appears to be a jerk but actually isn’t think Mr Darcy from Pride and Prejudice or Mr Rochelle from Jane Eyre and who is also a millionaire A Million Different Ways may have a hero that described like that make us think the story might be a bit “superficial” but it’s just the opposite I devoured this book from the very beginning Vera the heroine is full of sass and has than a backbone She’s smart and kind and I really liked and connected with her Sebastian Horn is everything I love in a book boyfriend And I’m in love and want him for myself And the story I LOVED the pace of this story I absolutely ADORE stories where we can actually see and feel the main characters falling in love It’s not a case of insta love or even insta lust The story just like their love is built It’s not a slow pace either It’s just perfect for the plot P Dangelico created A Million Different Ways has just the right ammount of drama to keep the story going and the story flows flawlessly I was really impressed with P Dangelico’s writing Not only the story is well built and the plot well thought but the writing is really good too This was a great book to introduce me to this author’s writing The story will make you want to keep reading and you won’t belive how fast you read until you see you finished it It does end in a cliffhanger but not a bad one Not for me and I don’t mind them so much I rarely get bothered by a cliffhanger and it’s not always I consider an ending everyone gets desperate about a cliffhanger Despite connecting with her and the facat I really liked her I got a bit frustrated by Vera specially towards the end of this first book I guess she has her reasons but I think she could have handled things a bit better or even in a mature way Now I wait anxiously for the second book I feel there’s so much coming after everything in this book that isn’t yet resolved but the author hinted about in the story I also feel that is coming for some side characters like Vera’s friend and Sebastian’s best friend and also that is coming from the villans in the story I don’t think they’ve done nearly as much bad as they seem to be able to do But I’m sure Vera and Sebastian will get everything sorted I’m dying to see of how they deal with their romance and them falling even in love with each other But they need to give each other that chance I really can’t wait for of P Dangelico’s writing and Vera and Sebastian’s story The second book can’t come soon enough for me I started A Million Different Ways at 3 am and now it's 530 and I already have a book hangoverI LOVED IT P Dangelico's writing hooked me from the beginning and my heart is feeling so many emotions right nowGreat book

DNF 46%You can say that my reasons for DNF are probably stupid but I don’t care My New Year’s resolution will be not continue reading books I do not enjoy but I decided to use this resolution now already It is my first and also the only book I couldn’t finish this yearWhy I didn't like the book? The word rear end was used so many times Blah The constant battle in Vera’s main female character mind that she shouldn’t go to his room but she goes and then she feels bad and she says to him that she will not come and suddenly she is in his room and Can you just go to his room without so much thinking please? We all know that you end up there anyway The sex scenes weren’t even good or sexy I fell asleep two times And the last and main reason sounds ridiculously even to me but I know a little bit about fitness and I just couldn’t Sebastian MC needs rehabilitations after his car accident and a cane when he’s walking Vera is admiring his beautiful bodyDuring one sex scene the author writes “and almost immediately found myself on my back pinned under two hundred pounds of aroused hot blooded man“ and little bit later “I found myself caged on the warm ground by two hundrer plus pounds of muscle“ If you know a little bit about fitness than you also know that is impossible don’t do heavy lifting and simultaneously have this solid amount of muscles Or be ripped which I assume he is because of the description and Vera’s thoughts I know that is not a big reason for DNF but for me it was the last strawI received a free copy from the publisher through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review

45 Desire StarshttpsveronikasreaderfeederwordpreWhen someone reads than a hundred books a year it could be so refreshing to find a book that is really different that the others It was so great to take a little trip to a European environment and somehow it seemed like we jumped not just in space but in time too because the last book I read with a similar plotline took place in the XIX century Although the “housekeeper who works in a huge household and the rich lord” seems old the subject of the illegal immigrants really is the problem of todayThe main character is Vera who had to escape from Albania 6 years ago after the tragic death of her father After the tragedy she travels to Milan where a scholarship waits for her After she gets her medical degree she moves to Switzerland but after she isn’t accepted for any job and her visa expires she has to live illegally without job money and foodShe gets to Geneva with some help of a friend where as the housekeeper of the billionaire Sebastian Horn her life takes a new turn She finally has roof above her head and food in her belly and she really puts her all into the work However Sebastian has a horrible attitude towards her from the first moment Until it reveals that his anger towards her is no other than attractionBoth characters had to deal with a very hard past but as we are moving forward in the story and the emotions are slowly unfolding the deep scars of them also start to heal The characters were great and I loved that Vera was a really independent and strong woman And besides the story contained so many steamy scenes the author could also inweave some really thrilling threads into the storyI truly think that this story could have been a strong 5 stars read if it’s a little shorter especially because the ending totally put me on the edge of my seat It was so captivating But in the middle of the book I felt sometimes that we are running the same rounds that I am reading the same struggles But apart from this I still think that it is almost unbelievable that it was the writer’s debut book The story ends with a very thrilling cliff hanger so I can’t wait to pick up the next part of the Horn series This ebook was gifted to me by the author in exchange for an honest reviewFor of my reviews please visit my blog

The book starts with Sebastian's childhood letters to Santa detailing the breakdown of his parents' marriage They serve to show us that the gruff man we are about to meet was once a sweet little boy however I found them an unnecessary gimmick Flash forward 24 years to Geneva Switzerland where our narrator Vera Sava has just lost her job Desperate and under the threat of deportation to her native Albania Vera takes a housekeeping position at the Horn estate even though she is a fully trained doctor Vera's first encounter with Sebastian Horn the master of the house is anything but idyllic but we all know they're going to end up together The uestion is how? She'll undoubtedly have some competition along the way from the rest of the young female staff and numerous wealthy socialites But what secret is Vera hiding from her past that has led her to where she is now? And when will it catch up with her? This book is a described as a contemporary romance but it should be labelled as an erotic romance and the cover should be changed to reflect this genre There is not much to the story which mostly consists of graphic sex scenes My major complaints I would have liked to have seen of Sebastian's high flying business dealings and less of Vera's domestic dramas; there are way too many misunderstandings and incidences of lack of communication between Vera and Sebastian; Vera is a trained doctor but can't even work out what's causing her illness; French words are not in italics which can lead to some confusion eg French diner means dinner but looks like a spelling error; there are numerous editing errors mostly incorrect word usage not picked up by spell check; the title doesn't come into the story until 80% of the way through the book then it is repeated four times; the story ends on a massive cliffhanger leaving a plethora of loose endsWarnings coarse language prescription drug abuse numerous graphic sex scenes including BDSM voyeurism and even bestiality in a dream seuence ends on a cliffhangerI received this book in return for an honest reviewFull blog post

This book was just okay for me While the sex scenes were HOT they were often repeated and were the only thing that kept this book interesting in my opinion The book really dragged on at times which wouldn't have been so bad if the book didn't end with a major cliffhanger If you're going to drag the story on at least do it to make a longer book and not to make the reader have to purchase the second book in this seriesI found Vera to be uite immature at times despite the fact that she supposedly had finished medical school and was searching for a place to complete her residency I would have expected someone who had gone through all of that to be mature but unfortunately this was not the case with VeraThe term lover annoyed me like you wouldn't believe Perhaps this is a common term of endearment in other countries but in the US I have never heard someone refer to their significant other using this term when speaking directly to them It just felt weird and distracted me each time I read it Overall the book was just okay I hate when authors split books into two parts just to make readers purchase another book Combined with the fact that the author admits that she didn't even plan a second book until she saw what the responses would be with this book makes me uestion how thought out the next book will even be ARC received from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review
