Ok I'm going trying to keep this short and sweet and not drag on and rehash everythingThe Sisterhood vs JellicoeAt the end of the last book the Game was over the girls got their presedential pardons So happy ever after now right? YeanoWhat happens when Annie gets bored and after 18 months of no contact between the Sisters? Mutiny of courseHankHenry Jerricoe thought he could control and sepeate the girls and he did for awhile until caught on and converged The Sister after being separated world wide are now reunited back at the good ol' farmNow there's hell to be paid to one Mr Jellicoe who the Sister's blame for what they consider their 18 months of 'captivity' Many things happen secrets are uncovered some relationship flurish some fail but one thing remains the sameDON'T MESS WITH THESE GIRLSOk now I know this is fiction and the story was good but I still find it extreamly hard to believe that 7 women the Sisterhood can do what the World's intelligance and security leaders can't It's kinda far fetched but hey it's fiction right?Recommened for those who love to read complicated plots with action drama and a little suspense with Female leads while the 'boys' are second string

I never learn I was truly pleasantly surprised after reading the previous Fern Michaels Sisterhood book mostly becuase I was elated that the series was FINALLY ending I don't know I guess after having about 18 books in a series how can it be new or fresh It all starts to sound the ssme I couldn't believe that Ms Michaels decided to bring all the characters back and continue the Sisterhood Series My curiousity got the best of me because I wanted to see what she would do with the Sisterhood now after wrapping everything up so uickly and neatly in the last book Well it wasn't until about 23 or so through this book before even getting to what their mission wasIt's my fault for getting sucked in I know I said it before but this time I mean it I will not read any of the Sisterhood books she'll probably write another 20 or so I guess she really can beat a dead horse and the rest of us are stupid enough to want to read it There are too many other books that I'd rather spend my time on

  3. Kelley Kelley says:

I really have no interest in these characters any The girls or chicks as Charles calls them are bitter petty hateful spiteful way too full of their own self importance conniving scheming selfish spoiled cruel money hungry brats who have a serious hate on for the entire population of the males of our speciesI've grown to hate them as much as they hate men And really how many times in a single book can someone snarl at someone else or share an evil smile? I think we broke the record here and I'm just a little over halfway into the bookWhy do I keep reading you ask? Because this is book 18 of a 20 book series and I want to see how the train wreck will end

  4. Marcia Haskell Marcia Haskell says:

Fern MichaelsJust finished this latest member of the Sisterhood series This newest novel reminds me of the first few books in the series It is faster paced less predictable and interesting than the last few books I really enjoyed this book with it's familiar cast of characters focus on 'woman power' and concentration on repaying those who were wronged I like the fact that the bond between the women is so strong and makes them closer family than the men they love and have married I won't give away the plot but know that the women once again discover what has been hidden and uncover it Well written enjoyable novel which leaves me waiting anxiously for the next episode in this series

  5. Lynn Lynn says:

I really wasn't sure where Fern Michaels was going to take this series after the women were all given presidential pardons I hesitated to read this book because I didn't want to be disappointed in a forced story line after enjoying the series so much No disappointment here the celebrity status of the women the personal vendettas the changes in the characters and relationships It all worked great I like that it was 18 months later so there was some time for life to happen after the pardons and everyone returning to their normal lives Good story kept me smiling and guessing right up until the end The Sisterhood is alive and well

Eighteenth in the Sisterhood vengeance suspense series revolving around a core team of seven women seeking justice for those denied itMy TakeNever discount the bond of friendship amongst women And that's just what Jellicoe has done Global Securities is preventing any of the ladies or their men from contacting each other For eighteen months If this group is so smart how come it took them so long to figure this out?Myra is complaining to Charles that nobody needs her because they aren't calling her So? Get out there and find something of your own Why does Myra need someone to present an objective to her on a platter?? Why hasn't Charles figured out something is wrong? As for Annie for a woman with her wealth how can she be so stupid? What?? She doesn't believe that the cocktail waitresses at the Babylon might have some clue as to why they get great tips? She just ups and fires people for spurious reasons? In Game Over they all seemed to think Jellicoe's offer was good Good money And a good idea to get out of town for awhile with all the glare of publicity on the pardoned vigilantes So WTF are the women doing going off on the guys for making that decision? It all seemed on the up and up at the time I didn't hear the ladies complaining then In 18 months no one took a vacation to see one another? Then they start to get their act together and what do they do? They slam their men and keep them out of the planning The men are good enough to use for the dirty work but not enough for planning? These women will turn on you on a dime Sure they can be nice and they're certainly charitable As long as you're not in love with them Michaels must really hate men Between how she has her female characters treat their own men and the viciousness of their attacks on the bad guyswhoa Dang it I gotta be fair Michaels has the girls ripping on the bad girls as wellI'll agree that Charles may be a bit blind about Hank but they have been friends for a long time and his track record would support Charles' position so why Myra and the girls are being such bitches to himegadsJust how has Jellicoe screwed up Myra's life so that she was virtually a prisoner here at the farm? From what I've read Myra has done this to herself waiting for someone knock on her door and give her a job or an interestSlowly slowly the wheels turn and the background checks go deeper and further back revealing a wealth of information on Jellicoe and the truth behind the plot to kill the PresidentThese women will drive me nuts with their we're women so we're the best bitching If they're so good why do they always have to turn to Avery Snowden and his people to ensure they keep their butts out of the sling? Oh please The guy is a former Assistant District Attorney with a black belt and he tells another guy that he's being a big silly??? Oh My God Where does Michaels come up with this lousy dialog??? Although I did enjoy how she had Bert Jack and Harry destroying the CIA team's egos It was pretty funny The big silliesSpeaking of dialogI mentioned in an earlier review on this series that Michaels seems to have her characters on speed talking 80 miles a minute in choppy sentences This initial exchange between Maggie and Emma Doty is an example of this It's also an information dump and almost sounds like a spiel to extort money'Well I read your paper online every day I lived for many years in the Chesapeake area When my husband passed awayWe were childhood sweethearts I'm disabled and housebound these days so my life is pretty much my computer Don't you go feeling sorry for me now; my children take real good care of me'Why do Snowden and the boys have such an adversarial relationship? Is it supposed to be a guys' thing? 'Cause it sure seems hostile to meI do like Kathryn's relationships with the other truckers and then there's Espinosa's glee as he snaps shots of the captivesoh manThe StoryThe girls are either angry or bored The guys are itchy and getting really suspicious Nothing is turning out as they expected It's makework of the worst kind and it's Ted and Joe who start putting the pieces together and start the avalanche by resigning from Global Securities Their heads up to Maggie sends her sprinting to Myra and Annie to relay their concerns In the meantime Harry and Yoko have returned to DC Seems the training Global Securities set up with the Israelis was totally unwanted and discounted by them and with Yoko's miscarriages Harry has resigned from Global as well Luckily for Jack his secretary is late to the office and he finds the faxes for Joe Ted and Harry's resignations and he contacts Bert resulting in their resigning Which sets off the summit meeting at 30000 feet with the heads of MI5 the Sûreté Mossad Interpol and Scotland Yard And Hank Jellicoe Seems theirs was a plot to keep the vigilantes out of the way while Jellicoe finds out who is behind the plot to kill the presidentThe CharactersMyra and Charles Martin are back at the farmhouse in Virginia and Myra is bored out of her tiny mind Annie is kicking slot machines in Vegas and glad to see the back of Little Fish Maggie Spritzer and Ted Robinson are still engaged and Alexis Thorne and Joe Espinosa are very happy but Joe and Ted are off running around the world doing busy work newsletters for Global Securities Harry and Yoko Wong are married and working in Israel Bert Navarro and Kathryn Lucas and Jack and Nikki Emery are working abroad and both couples are arguing and about to split up the girls are so angry over Global's machinations Isabelle Flanders is practically held prisoner by Stu Franklin in Paraguay and has been plotting her escape for months Cosmo Cricket and Lizzie Fox have a baby boy Little Jack Nellie and Elias Cummings have settled into a boring retirement mostly due to Nellie's two hip replacementsPresident Martine Connor hasn't heard from Hank Jellicoe since the night he proposed to herAbner Tookus is a computer whiz and a very good friend of Maggie's who can always find the goods Avery Snowden is one of Charles' contacts Emma Doty is a piece of Jellicoe's past with some very interesting informationThe Cover and TitleThis cover might actually have some relevance to the story Who knew Again it has a garden theme up close and personal of pink geraniums blooming from fat white concrete planters with a peek at blue and white striped patio chairs in the lower right cornerThe title is also relevant as the vigilantes are bored and angry with their current lives They have their pardons but life is meaningless right now what they need is some action something with meat The ex vigilantes are at a Cross Roads in their lives

  7. Ruth Ruth says:

Very good read its the continuation of the sisterhood series The sisterhood get pardon but it was not freedom it was a golden handcuffs from Global Securities The company separated the sisterhood and their families for a year and a half giving them big contracts all over the globe They were unable to get in touch with their love ones and were watch every step of the way When they became aware of the set up they set a plan in motion only to find out that the boss of Global Securities set them up The sisterhood return the favor by taking down Hank Jellicoe the big fish Good read Lots of suspense and laughter

  8. Linda Linda says:

Beginning to think this is the end of this series for me the whole book was boring and pointless still not 00% sure what the punchline was I might have missed it I was listening to an audio book and my mind kept driftingI'm also beginning to dislike the girls When they were getting revenge for their own personal missions it was understandable but now they seem to enjoy inflicting pain for no good reason and Maggie is so annoying and not a nice person at all

  9. Stef Stef says:
