    I received a copy of this book from voracious readers and I enjoyed reading it I liked the connection and relationship between the characters The erotic scenes were both stimulating and evocative I would definitely recommend this book to people who like erotic romances

    Wow This may have been a short story but it packs a punch Revealing Sherlock's relationship to Adler to be far sexual then Watson portrays deMello kicks things up uite a few notches A very seductive cerebral glimpse into literatures powerhouse couple Bravo Free copy provided by the author via Voracious Readers

    I uite enjoyed this side of Sherlock It reminded me of Linda Berdoll’s Mr Darcy Still waters run deep It’s a shame it was a short story would have loved to read a fleshed out version of the romance

    The second book I have read by this author and again I am brought to a halt when reading by word and phrase choice Not an issue of dialect but in all the historic romance I have read and a fairly broad familiarity with slang of the age “curly parsley garden” and other euphemisms in a similar vein to stand in for baser or direct body part references just did not work for me After those issues this is a short story told in 2 points of view Sherlock of the deerstalker pipe and addiction to a 7% solution of cocaine and Irene an American in London who makes her living as an opera singer When Sherlock is approached by a client to retrieve some incriminating photographs prior to an engagement announcement he realizes that he now has a reason to seek out the woman he had ‘pined for” over many years I found the perspectives interesting even if the structure and language felt forced and strained as if writing the perspective of Sherlock was attempted in the style of multiple versions of Sherlock that have been produced from books to film It just didn’t work for me especially with his euphemistic forays into gardens Irene was a bit better but her motivations beyond gratification were never clear and stayed vague throughout I received an eBook copy of the title from the publisher for purpose of honest review for The Jeep Diva I was not compensated for this review all conclusions are my own responsibility
