This was right up my alley plenty of blood and carnage but in a good way Two young men discover there's something wrong with them Each has to come to terms with their fits of superhuman rage the catch is they blackout When they come to people are dead I like the way the comic unfolded Readers aren't given too much information and uncover things as the characters do It made for a fast and interesting read Some readers may be turned off by the gore I found the gore fit in with the story and added to the intensity of what the Berserkers do When they go into rage mode you better get out of the way It doesn't matter if you're friend or foe they'll rip your head off This was a fun read I'll definitely be on the lookout for

I have no idea how I came to own this but it seemed like it would be up my alley The art is nice and consistent with the amount of gore and violence actually being very impressive The story is a little threadbare but they have managed to put a complete narrative in to the volume even if the plot is very simple I actually found myself comparing it to Bloodshot Reborn uite often due to the art style and violence which is never a bad thingWhy's it only 3 stars?Neither of the protagonists were particularly likeable the bad guy isn't really that bad and this is a one read then forget about sort of book If you can pick it up for cheap give it a go Just don't expect it to be any than a violent bloodbath

  3. Nicholas Driscoll Nicholas Driscoll says:

Actually the second time I’ve read this volume and I enjoyed it both times Definitely a guilty pleasure along the lines of Luther Strode this is a story of a line of people with the genetic giftcurse to be Berserkers Basically they turn into the hulk without the enormous body and green skin and proceed to destroy everything and rip people apart when enraged This comic is intense and very bloody but it’s that intensity that makes it compulsively readable for some Of all the Top Cow comics I’ve read this is really the only one I would like to continue

  4. Elliot Huxtable Elliot Huxtable says:

Barely readable nonsense Revels in Violence for the sake of violence The thin plot is only there to loosely justify the overkill

  5. Sky Sky says:

I'm really suprised this has gotten such lpw ratings I really enjoyed this twisted story I really hope they continued the story because I would love to pick up the next volume

  6. Adrian Bloxham Adrian Bloxham says:

A distraction and interesting but very very violent

  7. Albert Yates Albert Yates says:

a really interesting book that left it all on the table as you read it I had to go back to the front of he book and make sure that this wasn't secretly a Garth Ennis book because holy shit it was violent and detailed i don't remember ever seeing an intestine drawn in such beautiful detail before Farris and Aaron are two teenagers that discover that they have an unbridled rage living inside if them that sends them into a blackout inducing killing spree They are tracked by two separate agencies full of people with similar talents can they escape those agencies? what do they want? how many of their loved ones will they destroy by accident because of their new power? the story progressed nicely lots of action and nothing left me scratching my head in confusion with the exception of the ending I expected to find the following page contain a few panels before it ended you can't make a statement like that and just walk away there are no other issues in this title either We're just left to ponder and speculate what could have been

Issue 0 Attention grabbing beginning here Fast and easy to readIssue 1 The series is moving along pretty smoothly even with just two comics so far Not bad at all and even the gore doesn't bother meIssue 2 Even better than the two before it Awesome ending unexpected This is really starting to pick upIssue 3 Awesome ending for this comic Seems like they're all going this direction Not bad Pretty interesting especially with the mythological aspectsIssue 4 Another AWESOME ending to this comic Love the expanded insight on Norse mythology I hope this keeps playing a crucial part in the seriesIssue 5 The ending of this one though good was a little confusing I thought that at the beginning of the comic Aaron was ripped apart by Farris But by the end of the comic Aaron is holding Farris down Guess I'll have to ask around a bit to clarify that

  9. Keith Irwin Keith Irwin says:

This collects the first several issues of the Image series based on the myth of the berserkers This sort of starts off feeling as if it might turn into a superhero comic but it doesn't It starts out bloody and my worry was that the blood would be forgotten and glossed over as part of an unfortunate origin story but it doesn't The tale being told here is complicated and interesting than that It's about power without control and what that means for everyone involved I went into this expecting to be grossed out and to want to put it down I was grossed out but I was also engaged It's a strange and interesting tale and it's well told It's too violent for me to love but I never put it down

  10. Acturi Acturi says:

ProsDudes getting ripped in halfDudes getting their heads ripped offMore dudes getting ripped in halfEven dudes getting ripped in halfDo you notice the trend? If you want dudes getting ripped in half and don't want things like fully rounded characters plots or emotions getting in the way this is the comic for youThis is not the comic for me
